A couple model sheets by Tom Oreb for pre-rabbit Trix commercials. These were done for Disney’s TV commercial unit, most likely in 1955.

Thorsten - I’ll put the final cover wrap on the site next week. It’d be nice if whoever from Chronicle put the cover onto Amazon had put up the correct color version.

Amid, I’d seen the cover and wondered about the b/w–you mean, it’s not the final, as currently shown? I’m glad–I love the graphic, but I admit I was thinking “gee, I wish that were in color”; I couldn’t imagine it without it. Who knows how/why things get posted on Amazon? I’ve had friends with books also months away from publication; they’re in every case the last to know when the listing is updated or any graphics go up for the title.
I love these designs. Incredibly appealing. The real deal.

Holy jumping jeeze ! These are WONDERFUL! I have a new hero in this Oreb fellow! I love this little kid!
And you’re 100% right about Paul Bunyan. I couldn’t put my finger on it- why wasn’t it great, and not just good, as it is ? And then I see these drawings here. It’s for sure the line I love in the drawings that don’t make it to the cartoon, but that’s not all - does the short miss out on that snap and zing Kimball understands?
